De Azienda Rizzi Barbaresco is een schoolvoorbeeld van elegante, traditionele Barbaresco uit het hart van Piemonte. Gemaakt van 100% Nebbiolo, afkomstig van kalkrijke hellingen rond het dorp Treiso, biedt deze wijn alles wat je van grote Nebbiolo mag verwachten: verfijning, structuur en enorme expressie.

De vinificatie gebeurt klassiek, met lange schilweking en rijping van ongeveer 18 maanden op grote Sloveense eikenhouten vaten, gevolgd door flesrijping. Dit zorgt voor een prachtige balans tussen kracht en finesse.

In het glas is hij robijnrood met lichte granaattinten. De geur is complex en gelaagd: rozenblaadjes, rode kers, leer, truffel, zoethout en subtiele kruiden. In de mond is hij krachtig maar elegant, met fijne zuren, stevige maar rijpe tannines en een lange, minerale afdronk.

Afdronk: Lang, mineraal en licht kruidig.

Drinken bij

Perfect bij wildgerechten, lamsrack, ossobuco, risotto met paddenstoelen of truffel, stoofvlees of gerijpte harde kazen zoals pecorino of Parmigiano.

Houdbaarheid

Decanteer een uur van te voren; houdbaar tot zeker tien jaar na de oogst.
