The Conterno Fantino 2022 Langhe Nebbiolo Ginestrino reveals medium-rich concentration with primary fruits that touch the darker side of the Nebbiolo spectrum. Notes of blackberry and wild plum are softened by oak, tarry spice and toasted cinnamon. The wine deserves a bigger drinking window, probably taking it up to the 10-year mark. Production is 38,000 bottles.

De 'Ginestrino' van Conterno Fantino is een expressieve Langhe Nebbiolo, afkomstig van biologisch gecertificeerde wijngaarden in Monforte d'Alba. De wijnstokken groeien op kalkrijke bodems en profiteren van een gunstig microklimaat. Na een zorgvuldige handmatige oogst ondergaat de wijn een fermentatie in roestvrijstalen tanks, gevolgd door een rijping van ongeveer 9 maanden in grote houten vaten. Dit resulteert in een wijn met een heldere robijnrode kleur en een complex bouquet van rijpe rode bessen, rozenblaadjes en een hint van specerijen. In de mond is de wijn elegant en evenwichtig, met zachte tannines en een frisse afdronk.

Proefnotitie

In het glas toont de wijn een heldere robijnrode kleur. Het bouquet biedt aroma's van rijpe rode bessen, rozenblaadjes en subtiele specerijen. De smaak is elegant en evenwichtig, met zachte tannines en een frisse afdronk.

 

Drinken bij

Deze Nebbiolo is een veelzijdige begeleider van diverse gerechten. Hij past uitstekend bij pasta met vleessaus, gegrild rood vlees, risotto met paddenstoelen en medium gerijpte kazen.

 

Houdbaarheid

Drinken vanaf één à twee jaar na de oogst, houdbaar tot zes jaar na oogstdatum.
